Fish Pattern: Shooting Docks Crappie - Good 2nd. trip in 2009 Shooting docks all day we have about 10 docks we go to we used Caddo Lake Dream Team Pro-Series Jigs. Fishing was fair to day, we had a total of 26, 16 good keeper,10 to 15" long. Crappie came from under the docks in 10 to 15 feet of water. We fish about 4 docks today and no tree top to get our fish, there was very little boat traffic out here to day. Today we used BNB Crappie Jigs by Dale Beauchamp a.k.a. Crappie Dale, CLDTPS #001 Blue Boy only 2 crappie came on #014 Cotton Candy 1/16oz. We will have the Caddo Lake Dream Team Jigs at the Longview Boat Show Jan. 23-25 up on the Fish Tank, Crappie Dale will be there on Jan 24th., fishing with Dennis will be there all three day, on the fish tank and in the H&W Marine booth.

Fishing trip with Danny & Kitty March 26th 2009 Half day trip; 8am to 12pm. Caddo lake info. Lake Level 170.32 ft Temp. 54 / 73 Baro. 29.79 / 29.74 Wind. SE 5 / SE 13 Sky. Cloudy / Clear Water temp 63.8 Water, stain to clear in the area we fish. We fish with only 3 types of baits. Frog - fish over grass and Lily pads, had 4 blow up but no hook up. Un-weighted Super Fluke in Baby bass. Fish came of the edge of grass & pads and one came off a tree. Johnson Silver Minnow with a twin tail grub. No luck on this bait today, but the 2 trip before this one it work, taking some good fish. Kitty with one of her fish Danny with one of his fish.

Quick Run down Have been out on caddo 6 time in the last 2 week, last trip was Tue.7th. Had some luck fishing the back water area, and area off the upper river area. The lake is about 2 ft. high and Release 4219(cfs) water temp 63 - 66, the top water action has not been good, the water temp need to get in to the 70's for a week or two to get the top water bite going. LMB- slow 1/4oz white/chart. Spinnerbaits, fluke, finesse worm on LMB. W.B. good 1/4oz trap on white bass. Crappie - slow Back water area with cypress trees in them, in 3 to 5 feet of water. Fish Pattern: Bass - Fair do to all the high water: Had to move around a lot to find these fishs. Top water have been working early in the back water area on Frog, Buzz Baits, Johnson Silver Spoons, Toads, and Floating worms. Work these over and around lily pads and patches of grass. Later in the day try Crankbaits, Fluke, Senko and Chat-R-Hoochie Jig (swimming jig type bait) Fish these in the more open area in the deeper water, 5 to 7 feet with patches of grass in the area or around the single trees. Equipment used: Spinning Rod with 10lb Sufix Elite - floating worm Kistler HELIUM LTA He66MH with 17lb Sufix Siege All Finesse baits were fish un-weighted with crawclicker lock-on rattle system “NEW”
