CADDO LAKE INFO Normal lake level: 168.6 Pool level - Dec. 27th - 168.86' Water temp - 47.4 to 52.3 Air temp - 31 to 42 The past week we got approx 1" of rain, it has help the fishing on Caddo, and with the water temp fulling the Crappie fishing has pick up, we have been putting more Big Crappie in the boat each trip we have made this week.
Report #11 Fish the River 2 full day & 1 ½ day trips this week Baits of the day: Stop #1 Big Cypress River, we put in a the 43 bridge boat ramp. Started out fishing the boat dock near deep water with 12 to 20 feet near by. Fish live bait to start with and then change up to 1/16 - 3/32 oz jigs yellow body with white tail or all yellow worked the best this week. We also works some of our brush piles in 12 to 20 feet of water. Bass fishing has been good later in the day as the water warm up, we have been using the NEW Craw Clicker, 3/16oz Black/Brown/Amber with the Patented latch-on RED CrawClicker rattler.
The Crappie have move out to the river, they can be found in 12 to 20 feet of water in brush and around some of the boat dock. We have started booking trips this pass week for Crappie.

Report #08-02 Fish the River - Crappie Off Main Lake Boat Lanes - Bass Full day trip. ½ of the day for Crappie ½ of the day for Bass Baits of the day: Part #1 Crappie Big Cypress River, we put in a the 43 bridge boat ramp. Started out fishing the boat dock near deep water with 12 to 20 feet near by. Fish live bait to start with and then change up to 1/16 - 1/8 oz jigs blue body with white tail or all purple worked the best this week. Part #2 Bass Move out to the main lake area and fish the cypress trees near the boat lane with grass around them in 5 to 7 feet of water. Boat lane - “C” poles 19 Jap Island area, L.G. Brake, “G” poles 14-16, “C” 46-51, “J” , “K” this is just some of the areas. Bass fishing was fair on (3) three typ of baits, we use the NEW Craw Clicker, 3/16oz Red / Bird and Sour / Grape with the Patented latch-on RED CrawClicker rattler, beaver type bait with NEW Latch-on 3/16oz jig and we also used a 1/8oz wacky worm rig with a Black Blue 5" Senko.

Report #08-4 Water - stain 43 Bridge down to Devil elbow Fish the upper River - Crappie good
Crappie- fishing 7am -10am Big Cypress River, we put in a the 43 bridge boat ramp. Fish tree top and brush in 20 ft + crappie good in these area. Fish 1/8 oz jigs with white body with yellow tail, jigs worked the best for us today. Crappie up to 2lbs.
White Bass - fishing 10:15am - 12pm Johnson ranch area to pole 144 10:15am to 12pm Water - clear -2ft+ Baits; 1/8oz white road runner, 1/8oz white Beetle Spin and 1/4oz Gold Spoon Fish from Johnson ranch to pool 144 over the river, catching sand bass with a crappie mix in. Crappie slow today. White bass up to 2 1/2lbs.

Report #08-5 Water - clear Main Lake Ramp Colliers
Bass- fishing 9am -3pm Fish - mid lake and south shore; Area we fish. F and power poles, water depth 4 to 61/2 ft. Swanson Landing shore. South side of Tar Island, and E boat lane pole 27-30 Baits we used: 1/4oz Jig Black/Blue/Purple/Chart. Sweet Beaver typ bait, rig with 3/16oz jig head, color Watermelon Weight less senko in Watermelon. Smithwick Rogue put the big fish in the boat - 8 ½ lbs. Bass We had 3 under the slot, 5 in the slot and 2 over the slot, we had a total of 10 fish to day. Fishing was slow, so we had to slow down and spend a lot of time on each tree to get these fish to take our baits. All we need is 4 or 5 days of warm weather and the big fish will show up in the area they like to spawn in.

Report #08-7 Water - stain Ramp: put in at Colliers ramp.
Bass- fishing 7am -3 pm Fish - Have move back on to the flat’s Our best pattern on this day was to fish just of f of the Water Hyacinth Tar Island, Big Green, Big Sandy and Jap Island. Baits we used this day; 1/2oz Rat-L-Trap #46 Nat Crawfish. 3/8oz White / Chart. Mr.Blitz CHAD-A-HOOCHIE . 3/8oz Chart / White Mr.Blitz Spinner Bait. 4.5" Swim Bait wit Mr.Blitz 5/0 1/8oz. w/Latch-on rattle, bait keeper. No. 1 bait for the past 2 weeks. We fish 5 area today: (1) NE of Sand Island along the Vegetation, (2) SW of J.T. Island, (3) West of Little Green Brake, (4) “AA” 10-14, and (5) “E” 24-29. Fishing has been up and down with all the new water coming in to Caddo, we have had to move than one pattern each week, they have been moving from the flat’s to the trees and then back to the flat’s each week. Today we had a total of 12 fish, and only 4 over the slot.

Bass- fishing 7:30am -3:30 pm Fish - Some good fish are on to the flat’s pattern we fish to day was same we fish all last week, we fish just of f of the Water Hyacinth Tar Island, Big Green, Big Sandy and Jap Island. Baits we used this day; 1/2oz Rat-L-Trap #46 Nat Crawfish. 3/8oz White / Chart. Mr.Blitz CHAD-A-HOOCHIE . Senko and Fluke fish weight less, 3/0 hooks w/latch-on rattle on 10 lb. Sufix Elite. We also used 4.5" swim baits to land our big fish. **Area: we fish 5 area to day, open flat’s with mats of Water Hyacinth help to slow down water and keep it clear. Area - #1 Boat lane E pole 22-30, Area #2 Boat Lane C pole 20-31 fish both sides. Area #3 Boat lane C pole 49-54, Area #4 Boat lane F 13-18. The fishing has been good the past 2 days, today we had a total of 18 fish, we had 3 over the slot, 9 in the slot, big fish of the day was a 8.75lbs.
