River is high, and backwater is muddy. Finding clear water is very important as fish are staging for spawn. Water is in high 40s to low 50s, and the fish are starting to get active. Focus on drains and ridges adjacent to spawning areas. Fish are fair flippin Texas Rig or Jig. A 9lb fish was weighed @ Clark's Marina this week. A couple of sunny warm days should increase activity.

Fish form 7:30 am to 7pm. cover a lot of water this day, there are a lot of 12 to 14" fish out there to be had. The 3 to 4 lbs. fish were hard to find, but they are out thare if you know where to look. The river is muddy but the backwater is clear up, look for the mud line and fish near by.

Fish from 7am to 11:30 am

Started in area #1, it was choke off and made it hard fish, only fish for about 30 min with no bites, move back back out and started down the tember line and pick up some small fish, came to a point and had my pull out of my hand, after getting it back under control and landing the fish, it was a 6+lbs fish, fish around the area for about 20 min with out another bite.
Move to area #2 water was satin, pick of some more small fish, 12 to 14 inch.

Fishing Report - 003

Sept. 7, 2007

Pool 5 latest stage: 19.6 ft. - add 131.48' = M.S.L.
Pool 4 latest stage: 25.5 ft. - add 95.78' = M.S.L.
Pool 3 latest stage: 22.8 ft. - add 75.09' = M.S.L.
.
Fish from 6:30am to 12:00 pm
Water Temp. 83.2
River - Muddy.
Backwater - Stain
Ox Box - Clear
Black Bass - Good

We started in area #5 with top water for over a hour and 4 or 5 nice fish and some small fish to a long with them.
We then move over to area #8 and fish a ridge with standing timber on it, at first we didn’t get any bites until we switch to a NEW Peli-Button Jigs by Mr.-Blitz with a Latch on Rattle in 3/16oz Green pumpkin, “A.K.A. shaky head,” we pick up some more good fish at this time. Our last stop of the day we ran up to area # 11 and we fish crankbaits around rocks and standing timber and catch some more small keepers. All in all we had about 4 limits.

Until Next Time, Catch as many as you can, but only keep what you need.
GOD Bless & good fishing.
