Red River F.Y.F.I. March. 10th 2008 Pool El: Pool 5 - 23.4 ft. Mar. 11 th Forecast to go to 21.8 ft. on Mar 15th.
Pool 4 - 28.6 ft. Mar. 11th Forecast to go to 27.6 on Mar.15th
Pool 3 - 28.4 ft. Mar. 11th Forecast to go to 25.9 on Mar.15th.
The river is high and muddy with all the rain we have been getting up North, it is forecast to be this way for the next week or two. As you run up and down the river take it slow and easy, with all the trash coming down the river. In the back water area you can find some satin water to fish, it not clear like we like it to be, but the fishing has not been so bad in these area, but you find your self sharing it more boat than you like to. 1/2oz MrBlitz Tandem or Double Colorado in Chart./White, slow roll them around wood. 1/4oz weighted Beaver type baits in black, or blk/blu., have been working also. Bandit 200 Series (20) Firetiger or (36) Chart./Blue Back

Pool 4 - 29.5 ft. Apr. 07th Forecast to go to 28.7 on Apr. 12th (95.78+Forecast stage = Height in FT, NGVD29)
Pool 3 - 29.6 ft. Apr. 071th Forecast to go to 29.5 on Apr. 12th. (75.09+Forecast = Height in FT, NGVD29)

The forecast look like it is going to be this way for the next week or two. As you run up and down the river take it slow and easy, with all the trash coming down the river. You will have fun locking also with all the trash that build up in front of the lock doors. In the back water area you can find some satin water to fish, it not clear like we like it to be, but the fishing has not been so bad in these area, but you find your self sharing it with more boat than you would like to. Fish pool 5 today. Fish from 9:30 to 3;30 Had 8 bites on soft plastic today. Water temp; from 64 to 67 River running approx 5 to 7 mph. We did find one area with some clear water.
