As of 3-24-07 The spawn is over and the fishing has really slowed down. The fish have pulled off the trees and are scattered through-out the lake. We had limited sucsess with watermelon red and christmas tree colored senkos in 4 to 5 foot of water fished extremly slow texas rigged.

May. 2007 - Report #03

Lake Level: 169.02
Water Temp: 68 - 74
Water: Stain in the river, clear main lake area.
Boat Ramps open: All

Bass: - Have been good in the main lake area, in water depth from 4 to 6 feet.
Crappie: - Good in main lake up and down the pipe line in groups of cypress trees on live bait.

We have be catching good numbers of fish mid day as the water warm up, each trip we have had one or two nice fish from 3 to 7 lbs.
Early we have been using Kreature type baits on a NEW CrawClicker Jig head with a latch-on rattle; later in the day we will switch to a white MrBlitz spinner bait 3/8 oz single Colorado blade and slow rolling them around the cypress trees.
We have also be using a wtrmln-pepper 5” Senko and Super Fluke rig on a 4/0 hook with a latch-on CrawClicker system, it go in to the nose of these baits. IT NEW.
