Before time Caddo was.
Caddo lake cover about 26,800 acres
Half in Texas and half in Louisiana.
There a four (4) watersheds that feed Caddo Lake.
Big Cypress creek out of Lake O the Pines
Little cypress creek
Black Cypress Bayou
Jeems Bayou
Normal lake level: 168.5
Pool level - June 29th - 169.0
Water temp - 80 to 84.5
Air temp - 72 to 88

Full Day Trip
Baits of the day:
Stop #1 Big Green Brake
6:15am Started with Top water Baits.
We used a Yellow Magic in Alewife color, we work the out side edge of the lily pads for about 2 hours.
We had about 14 fish blow up on our baits, we only put 9 fish in the boat, only (1) one was over the slot.
Stop #2 Move to Jeems Bayou area.
8:30am work Top water Baits along with Buzz Shad, Fluke and Senko.
We work around the Cypress trees using top water for about 1 hour and only picking up 2 fish.
We change from top water and started using the Buzz Shad, Fluke, Senko weightless and also used a CrawClicker 3/16oz Jig in Blk/Br/Amber and started getting fish. We pick up a total of 10 more fish, 3 were over the slot, we staid in the area for all most 3 hours.
Stop for Lunch
Stop # 3 Fish Boat Lanes
1:00 pm to 3:30 pm- Started fishing on Boat Lane NN in Turtle Shell, fish our way over to Ames Basin.
Fished with un-weighted Fluke, Buzz Shad and Senko, we also used frog. We fish the Fluke, Buzz Shad and Senko in the Boat Lane and the frog off to the side of the boat lanes over top of the lily pads and grass. We had about 14 more small fish in the 3 ½ hours we fish the boat lanes, but no more over the slot.

3 - Full Day Trip
Baits of the day:
Stop #1 Thompson’s Arm A-36
7 am Started with Top water Baits.
We used a Yellow Magic in Alewife color, we work the out side edge of the lily pads, fish Horny Toad and Buzz Shads over the top of the lily pads.
We had about 9 fish blow up on our baits, and put all 9 fish in the boat, only (2) one was over the slot, 4 in the slot and 3 under the slot.
Stop #1A move out to Turtle Island A-34
Fish with Fluke, Finesse Worms and 3/16oz CrawClicker jigs. ( no fish came from this area.)
Stop #2 Move to the mouth of Jeems Bayou area. B-21
Top water Baits along with Buzz Shad, Fluke and Senko.
We work around the Cypress trees using top water for about 2 hour and only picking up 4 fish.
We move out to the lily pads and started using the Buzz Shad, Horny Toad weightless and also used a frog over the top of the lily pads and started getting fish. We pick up a total of 16 more fish, 3 were over the slot, we staid in the area for all most 5 hours.
Stop # 3 East side Big Green A-29 Fish Cypress trees and lily pads
Fished with un-weighted Fluke, Buzz Shad, Fluke, Senko and wacky worms we also used frog over the top of the lily pads We fish the Fluke, Buzz Shad and Senko in the Boat Lane and the frog off to the side of the boat lanes over top of the lily pads and grass. We had about 4 more small fish in the 3 hours.

White bass have been schooling in the main lake area in 10 to 11 feet on water around lunch time.

Baits of the day:
Stop #1
7:30 am Started with Top water Baits.
Buzz Shads over the top of the lily pads.
We had no fish blow up on our baits, fishing has been slow these pass weeks.
Stop #2 8:15 am Finesse Worms with no weight, had two bites.
Stop #3 9:00am Buzz Shad, Fluke and small crankbaits
We work around the Cypress trees using small crankbaits, Fluke, and Buzz Shad for about 2 hour and only picking up 4 fish.
Stop # 4 11:00 - 12:30 pm West side Big Green, Fish Cypress trees and lily padsFished small crankbaits, Finesse Worms and Wacky Worms.We had about 3 more small fish.
Some sign of shad schooling up in the main lake area, with the days getting shorter and night getting longer the shad should start getting into big school and the bass and white bass should start chasing.

Fish the River all Day
½ Day Trip - 10am - 3:30pm
Baits of the day:
Stop #1
10:00 am Started with Finesse worm rig weight less on a 3/0 hook w/ latch-on crawclicker.
Fish cypress trees next to deep water, boat docks and the lily pads.
We had two fish under and one in the slot.
Stop #2 10:45 - 11:45 move down river about a mile, fish Finesse Worms with no weight and mojo rig. Pick up 4 more fish.
Stop #3 12:00pm Started fishing small crankbaits and pick up two more slot fish. We work around the Cypress trees and docks.
Stop #4 2pm - 3:30 pm Fished small crankbaits, Finesse Worms and Wacky Worms around docks and cypress trees. We had 5 more small fish.

The Crappie have started moving out to the river, they can be found in 12 to 20 feet of water in brush and around some of the boat dock. We have started booking trips this pass week for Crappie.

Pool level - Nov. 30th - 168.70'
Water temp - 51.4 to 54.3
Air temp - 43 to 70
Last week end we got approx 2 ½" of rain, it has help the fishing on Caddo, and with the water temp fulling the Crappie fishing has pick up, we have been putting more Crappie in the boat.

Fish the River
½ Day Trip - 9am - 3:00pm
Baits of the day:
Stop #1
Big Cypress River, we put in a the 43 bridge boat ramp.
Started out fishing the boat dock near deep water with 12 to 20 feet near by.
Fish live bait to start with and then change up to 1/16 - 3/32 oz jigs yellow body with white tail or all yellow worked the best this day.
We also works some man made brush piles in 12 to 20 feet of water.
Bass fishing also pick up some, we been using the NEW Craw Clicker, 1/4oz Black/Brown/Amber with the Patented latch-on RED CrawClicker rattler.

The Crappie have started moving out to the river, they can be found in 12 to 20 feet of water in brush and around some of the boat dock. We have started booking trips this pass week for Crappie.
