Report #08-9
Water - River stain, Main lake stain to clear, back side of Islands are the best place to find clear water.
Caddo is hard to fish when it is high and has a current like is has now, so slow, slow, slow down and fish the down stream side of the cypress trees.

Bass- fishing
6 am -1 pm for all days.
We have been getting of the water before it get to hot these past weeks.
Fish Pattern’s - Fish the area that have soft current and have Water Hyacinth near the cypress trees.
We have been fishing this pattern for the past weeks, we will keep this up as long as caddo is high and has current.
We have been fishing the back side and the point that have current coming by them.
Areas: Twin Islands, Goose Island, Bird Island, Sand Island, Whatley Island, Little Green Brake, and Tar Island.

Baits we used this day:
We used un-weighted and some with only 1/8oz weight.
a. Senko -
b. Trick worms -
c. Finesse worm rig wacky style: -
d. Super Fluke: Split Shot rig -
Hooks: weight less, 3/0 hooks w/latch-on rattle on 10 lb. Sufix Elite.

When you fish weight less and have wind, you got to have a rod with sensitivity, to allow you to feel bites.

**Areas: We had fish 5 or more. We fish 6 Area this past week, fish have been in these each time we hit them.
The fishing has been up and down for the past 3 weeks.
This past week we had a total of 23 fish, we had 4 over the slot, 7 in the slot, and the rest under 14 inches.

Water - River - Normal, Main lake - Normal, back side of Islands are the best place to find cooler water.
Pines Releasing 135 (cfs.) that is giving us a little current in the upper part of the river, bass fishing is good when we have a little current in the river. We like to use the CrawClicker 3/16oz finesse jig in these conditions, we have been avg 12 to 14 fish per trip, the big fish of the trip’s was a nice 6.25lb.,fish the down stream side of the cypress trees.

Bass- fishing
July 7th

6:30 am -11:00 pm - half day trip
Fish Pattern’s
We have been putting in a the 43 bridge these past two weeks.
Some time we go up river from the bridge and fish our way back down, most of the time we head down river to the high bluff and fish our way back up to the bridge. We fish the area that has the most current near cypress trees and lily pads.
We have been fishing this pattern for the past two weeks, this pattern works good as long as we have some current coming down from pines.

Baits we used this day:
Early: Top Water - Use SPRO Frog , 3/8oz white buzz bait and BuzzFrog around the lily pads area, and Yellow magic and Heddon Pop’n Image around the Cypress trees. Note: keep our Finesse rig handy, if you have a fish blow up on your top water, flip the finesse rig on top of the blow up, we had a 80% hook up by doing this.!!!!!After the top water pattern went a way, we went back to the un-weighted Senko, Finesse worm Rig and we also use a 3/16oz Finesse Jig, the New CrawClicker by Mr Blitz.
Senko - Watermelon Black/Red Flake.
Finesse worm - Watermelon Red Flake
Finesse Jig - Black/Brown/Amber with small Swimmin Chunk in Rootbeer Pepper/Green
Hooks: weight less, 3/0 hooks w/latch-on rattle on 10 lb. Sufix Elite.
Line: Sufix ELITE 10lb - Top water.
Line: Sufix SIEGE 10lb - Finesse Rigs
Line: Sufix BRAID 6-30lb. - Finesse Jigs
Rods: KISTLER MAGNESIUM TS - MgTWJBM68 mod-fast Top Water
KISTLER HELIUM LTA He66MHS Med-fast Spinning. - Finesse
KISTLER HELIUM LTA He66MHC Casting - Finesse Jigs
When you fish weight less and have wind, you got to have a rod with sensitivity, to allow you to feel bites.

The fishing has been good the past two weeks.
**Areas: we had 4 or more fish from. The past to days we fish 9areas, fish have been in these for the past (2) weeks.
This past two day we catch a total of 19 fish, we had 6 over the slot, 13 in the slot, and bunch under the slot.
The big fish for these two days was a nice 9.25lbs., we had 8 more between 5 & 7lbs.
